For those of you that know me, A poem is just the thing. For any event I am attending, From my brain, it normally will spring. 

But this is one that's different, It's supposed to be about me? I don't know if I can do it, When it's not a poem about thee! 

Well, let's start back at College, Yes, I can remember back that far.With a major in transportation, And a 64 Ford Falcon, for a car.

A dream to work with people, Be a Rail President by thirty.

So part of it worked well, But with the rails, I was flirty.A four year stint at the Erie, Then on to Rail Van.
Where Denis, Bill and Jeff, Developed a buyout and ownership plan. 

Through hard work and luck, The business we did buy. To make it in Intermodal, All our people they did try.

Along the way I mentioned, That I would never have any kids. Be here I am with six of them, Will you take them? Do I hear any bids? 

Our families, employees and our customers,
The three things that REALLY count, And the business grew quite large, Our gross sales they did mount. 

Then a short time with Dave Thomas, And KDR too. What a wonderful life we were living, With all the neat people that we knew. 

A deal cut with Maersk, And then on to Mister Orris. Changes in the wind, But our folks were still there for us. I never made a trip, When I didn't make a Sales call.
Amongst the flames, the toys, the trains, The antique cars and all. 

Our Logistics folks, Are some of the best.
And in the industry, They surpass the rest!But nothing lasts for ever, Just ask Thing One and Thing Two.
No room now, for this old man, Who may be ground up like a horse for glue!Although the company will downsize,

Please carry Pacer on. With re-org behind us,
Pacer will hopefully have a new dawn. 

And please just remember, My spirit is always there, And you'll be quite successful, As long as you continue to "care". 

Now the focus is on you, Our customers and such.
I give to you this poem, Because I love you all so much!
